American Falls District Library

The Board of Trustees for the library meets on the second Monday of the month. The meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room here at the library. The Board of Trustees exists by virtue of the provisions of Chapter 33-2701 of the Laws of the State of Idaho, and exercising the powers and authority and assuming the responsibilities delegated to it under the said statute.

The Library Board of Trustees consists of five trustees who are elected for five-year terms by the district's voters. The trustees are responsible for the overall administration of the library including hiring the library director, establishing policy, formulating long-term plans, and formulating and approving the library district's annual budget. All board meetings are posted and are open to public attendance.
