Book Babies (ages 0-2)
Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. / October thru May

  • Have fun with baby with stories and more planned especially for little ones.  

Preschool Storytime (ages 3-5)
Tuesday and Friday, 10:30 a.m. / October thru May

  • Stories, songs, activities, and crafts for your preschooler.
  • Helpful hints for teaching your child.
  • Parents attend with children.
  • Tuesday program repeats on Friday.

Kid's Club (ages 5-12)
Wednesday, 1:30-2:30 p.m. / October thru May

  • Enjoy an activity at the library, then check out the books!

Summer Reading Program

Friday at 1-2:30 p.m. June 18 through July 23 

Participants register by June 18 and set reading goals. Prizes are awarded for meeting goals. Summer Reading Programs include stories, art, science, games, etc.


Boy Scout Reading Merit Badge

Boy Scouts can earn their Reading Merit Bage at the American Falls District Library. This personal development merit badge is available to Aberdeen, American Falls, Arbon, Big Sky, and Rockland Scouts.

Participating scouts can choose their own books and reading topics. A brief workbook will be provided to help keep track of completed requirements. Reading Merit Badge books are available for checkout at the library and are required reading for this badge.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Every Child Ready to Read Family Workshop

Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:15 am / February 10 through March 17, 2009

Parents and caregivers of children (birth to 6) learn literacy skills to prepare their children for reading in a fun program for children and parents.

  • 2009 program is limited to 20 families. Preference will be given to new participants: i.e. new families or new parent participant.
  • Free books and extras every week.
  • Participants must register for this class.
